Hey! Ladies are you confused about the color of lipstick to wear for that special occasion? Please, worry no more. Some ladies may not pay keen attention to this but its very important you know the right lipstick that matches your skin tone and dress.

It will interest you to know that there are many shades of lipstick but you must choose the one that matches your skin tone. I know its quite difficult but you need not worry. Just follow these steps and you are going to  make the right choice and it will be the perfect match.

 1.  SHAPE OF YOUR LIPS
        This is very paramount because lipstick applies to certain lip shapes.  There are some rules which states that dark colour lipsticks makes the lip smaller and bright colour lipstick makes the lip bigger. Therefore, take note of whether you want to accentuate or minimize your lip shape before applying any lipstick.

2. TESTED AND TRUSTED
      Do not get confused by this. Its quite simple and easy. When selecting a lip stick colour, remember that you are not going to have only one lipstick for every occasion. However, instead of carrying tons of lip products, its safer you have a lip colour that stands out among your other lipstick colours.

3. UNDERNEATH THE SKIN
      Hey! you can not learn how to pick lipstick of your skin tone if you don't know your skin undertones. The easiest way to do this is to look at the colour  of your veins on your inner wrists in the light. If they appear greenish, you are warm and if they appear bluish  then you are cool.

4.  FAIR COMPLEXION SKIN
       Pay keen attention to this because it's important. Choose lighter shades of lipstick like nudes, pinks or light browns. Cool toned ladies should go for nude or soft mocha colour and warm girls should look out for nude peach or pale pinks. I know that you may want to rock a dark lip but honestly, nudes and beiges is the perfect choice.

5. MEDIUM SKIN
           Such skin with warm undertones should use copper or bronze and cool undertones should try out pinks and cranberry. However, choosing a lipstick according to skin tone doesn't have to be a difficult job. Other nice colours are brown, red  and fuschias.

6. DARK COMPLEXION SKIN
       Ladies with such skin should go for dark red colours which will make their lips look gorgeous.  Ladies with warm undertones should use coppers and bronzes on their puker and  ladies with a darker complexion should use nudes or light colours.

CONCLUSION
      One last thing you must know is that in picking the right lipstick color there is rarely a time when you want your lip colour to resemble your skin tone. At the same time, you don't want a stark contrast between your skin and lips either. The bottom line is wear what makes you feel good and experiment with colours.
